While there are a number techniques proposed for removal of 1,4 dioxane, the two most common techniques are ozone/peroxide and UV/peroxide advanced oxidation. Our colleague Tony Sacco, the developer of the SPARTOX process, has just had an article published by Ozone News with another engineer on a case study of ozone/peroxide versus UV/peroxide. The results indicate that ozone/peroxide can have a lower life cycle cost than UV/peroxide.
