Project Overview

PRM led a project to establish a filtration system providing potable drinking water to the UNC Asheville campus. Backed by the US Army Corps of Engineers and FEMA, the initiative addressed the urgent need for clean drinking water following the devastation to the region caused by Hurricane Helene. In conjunction with our partners, PRM set up a filtration system serving over 1,400 students on campus, significantly enhancing access to safe drinking water and allowing classes to resume at the university.

  • Two 20,000 lb carbon vessels trucked to site
  • Bag filter housings for prefiltration
  • Complete filtration train configured for potable water service

  • 150+ technician hours on-site

The Results

  • Potable drinking water delivered to on-campus residents
  • 1,400+ students served
