Gas Extraction Blowers
Complete landfill gas extraction systems from 25 to 10,000+ SCFM. Factory-tested integrated packages designed to create negative pressure in the well field and transfer gas to the flare station or co-generation engine.
Turnkey Gas Extraction Systems
PRM specializes in landfill gas extraction systems designed to optimize performance for your application. These systems create a negative pressure in the well field to transfer gas to the flare station or engine for co-generation.
In most applications, a single or multi-stage blower is used with typical ranges of 20 to 100 inches of water column on the extraction blower inlet. PRM will always take the time to assist in proper sizing and selection of an appropriate blower for your application.
Design Considerations
- Blower operating parameters and site-specific requirements
- Proper moisture separation prior to the blower
- Gas quality and composition analysis
- Site elevation considerations
- VFD vs fixed speed selection

Blower Skid Components
A complete PRM blower skid consists of moisture separator, blowers, shut-off valve, piping, and control system, all mounted on a structural skid
Moisture Separators
PRM has manufactured moisture separators for over 25 years. Tangential inlet ports maximize water removal. Available in stainless steel, coated carbon steel, or HDPE construction.
Blowers
Sized based on vacuum required at landfill gas header and rated flare flow. Multiple blowers recommended for greater turndown ratio and redundancy. Single or multi-stage based on site requirements.
Shut-Off Valve
Primary valve controlling landfill gas entry to the flare system. Automatically operated by the main control panel with fail-closed actuator for safety.
Pipe Construction
Fabricated using stainless steel, coated carbon steel, or high-density polyethylene based on site conditions and gas composition.
Control System
Integrated UL panel operating the blower system based on changing site conditions. Communicates directly with flare system, includes data recorders and SCADA for remote monitoring.
