PRM Launches PFAS-Snare™ Containerized PFAS & Microplastics Treatment

June 19, 2026

PRM launches PFAS-Snare™, a patent-pending, rapidly deployable containerized system for the targeted removal of PFAS and microplastics from small drinking water sources.

Product Recovery Management, Inc. (PRM) is proud to announce the launch of PFAS-Snare™, a patent-pending, containerized water treatment system designed for the targeted removal of PFAS and microplastics from potable water sources. The system arrives as a turnkey, factory-tested enclosure that runs on a simple gravel pad or straight from a transport trailer, without the concrete infrastructure that traditional systems demand.

PFAS-Snare™ is built specifically for smaller water sources impacted by PFAS, with a focus on cost-effectiveness and ease of operation and maintenance. The standard models use a buffered, PFAS-selective anion exchange media that needs minimal rinsing at start-up and keeps the installation compact. Of the three main methods the EPA recommends for PFAS removal, buffered exchange resin is well suited to small groundwater systems based on typical site constraints, testing data, and real-world experience. More than 60 similar systems are already operational.

Water moves through a standardized treatment train. NSF®-rated bag filtration in a stainless steel housing captures incoming sediment, dual lead and lag vessels come pre-loaded with PFAS-selective media, and a final polishing stage captures microplastics along with any media fines before the water reaches the distribution system. PRM Hydralink™ connection kits, isolation valves, and integrated drains are selected for potable water service and fast, low-downtime maintenance. The platform is media-agnostic and can be adapted to other contaminants such as uranium, radium, and nitrates.

Every system ships inside a climate-controlled, insulated enclosure built to protect the equipment and the operator in real-world conditions, from flood-prone sites to freezing winters. Fabrication, wiring, and plumbing all happen at PRM's North Carolina facility, where each system is factory tested before it ships, then delivered and anchored on site.

PFAS-Snare™ is available in five standard sizes covering an estimated flow range of 10 to 360 GPM, for direct purchase or rental, with field service for start-up and vessel replacement. The standard designs must be verified by a Professional Engineer for each project and permitted by local agencies. To learn more or request a configuration, visit www.pfas-snare.com.
