PRM Filtration

Carbon Services

Activated carbon vessels for vapor-phase and liquid-phase treatment of organic contaminants. From 90 lbs units to 30,000 lbs custom vessels, 35+ years of vessel manufacturing experience.

Activated Carbon Filtration

Activated Carbon is used to filter harmful chemicals from contaminated water and air. It is composed of black granules of coal and other carbon-rich materials. As contaminated water or air flows through activated carbon, the contaminants sorb (stick) to the surface of the granules and are removed from the water or air.

PRM supplies 4mm (4×10) Vapor Phase Carbon, designed for the removal of organic contaminants from industrial and remediation air stream applications, and 8×30 Liquid Phase Carbon to decolorize and remove odor-causing impurities as well as adsorption of trace contaminants from groundwater.

PRM can supply virgin and/or reactivated carbon for all of your environmental remediation projects. As an original equipment manufacturer, PRM also offers custom solutions and systems.

Vapor Phase & Liquid Phase Solutions

Vapor Phase

Vapor Phase Carbon Filtration

PRM Carbon units are used on remediation systems to treat vapor emissions with minimal backpressure. Units are designed to prevent channeling and are sized to maximize carbon effectiveness. Typical applications are treating the off gas from remediation of VOCs, chlorinated solvents, or industrial sites with similar applications.

PRM offers pre-configured systems and can customize a carbon system to specific project site requirements.

Liquid Phase

Liquid Phase Carbon Filtration

PRM Carbon Vessels are available in a variety of sizes to fit your application, smaller 90 lbs units all the way up to 30,000 lbs vessels. Typical applications are groundwater remediation for VOCs or industrial sites with similar applications.
