Ozone Systems
Complete ozone groundwater treatment and Advanced Oxidation Process (AOP) systems. Powered by SPARTOX™ technology for effective treatment of 1,4-Dioxane, chlorinated solvents, and difficult-to-treat contaminants.
Advanced Oxidation for Groundwater Treatment
PRM has partnered with Spartan Environmental Technologies to build complete ozone groundwater treatment systems and Advanced Oxidation Process (AOP) systems. Our integrated laboratory and pilot-scale testing facilities allow clients to de-risk their water treatment projects through data-driven feasibility studies.
If you are considering treating a site with traditional air sparging or pump and treat equipment, PRM encourages you to learn more about ozone to see how it may benefit your project.

Contaminants Reduced with Ozone
Ozone and AOP systems are effective against a wide range of organic contaminants in groundwater
1,4-Dioxane Treatment
In the past few years, scientists have discovered there is a growing problem in the frequency of 1,4-Dioxane being found in groundwater. 1,4-Dioxane is difficult to treat because of its high solubility in water.
Further testing showed using Ozone and Peroxide in an Advanced Oxidation Process was effective in reducing concentrations of 1,4-Dioxane in groundwater. PRM's SPARTOX™ systems are specifically designed to address this challenging contaminant.
AOP Technology Options:
- Ozone injection
- UV treatment
- Hydrogen Peroxide
- Combined Ozone + Peroxide (AOP)
- Ozone + UV combinations
Feasibility Testing Services
From proof of concept to full-scale implementation, de-risk your project with data-driven testing
Bench-Scale Feasibility Laboratory
For initial proof-of-concept and reaction kinetics studies, our onsite laboratory provides a controlled environment to determine the precise ozone demand and oxidation potential of your specific water matrix.
- 10g/hr ozone generator with custom-designed gas mixing apparatus
- Continuous recirculation with real-time ORP, pH, temperature, dissolved ozone monitoring
- Teledyne high and mid-concentration ozone monitors
- High-efficiency laboratory ventilation hoods for safety
Industrial Pilot-Scale Testing
When you are ready to scale, PRM offers in-house pilot testing using client-provided samples and our industrial-grade, skid-mounted 60g/hr and 70g/hr Ozone/AOP systems.
- Scalable volume, typically process 275-gallon cage totes
- Test efficacy of Ozone, UV, Hydrogen Peroxide and combinations
- Integrated pre & post-treatment (pH adjustment, GAC polishing, filtration)
- Chiller systems for temperature-sensitive reactions
The PRM Advantage
More than just a lab, we are a custom fabricator with integrated capabilities
On-Demand Customization
Extensive parts inventory onsite with fabrication shop capabilities. Quickly build specialty batch tanks, custom manifolding, and unique reactor geometries to match intended full-scale design.
Specialized Expertise
Technicians who specialize in Ozone/AOP technology. Services beyond testing include process parameter design, sampling protocols, and complex data set interpretation.
Full Chain of Custody
Laboratory confirmation analysis from start to finish. Collecting, prepping, and shipping samples through our network of preferred NELAC-certified laboratories.
Our laboratory is located within our manufacturing headquarters in Butner, NC, enabling rapid prototyping and custom fabrication that other testing firms cannot match.
Validate with a Bench or Pilot Study
Test ozone demand, AOP combinations, and downstream polishing on your actual water matrix before committing to a full-scale system.
