Laboratory & Pilot-Scale Ozone/AOP Services
Ozone & AOP feasibility testing services from proof of concept to full-scale implementation. Bridging the gap between laboratory theory and industrial reality at our Butner, NC headquarters.
From Proof of Concept to Full-Scale Implementation
At PRM, we bridge the gap between laboratory theory and industrial reality. Our specialized laboratory and pilot-scale testing facilities, located within our Butner, NC manufacturing headquarters, allow clients to de-risk their water treatment projects through data-driven feasibility studies.
Bench-Scale Feasibility Laboratory
For initial proof-of-concept and reaction kinetics studies, our onsite laboratory provides a controlled environment to determine the precise ozone demand and oxidation potential of your specific water matrix.
Bench-scale work is the fastest, lowest-cost way to validate an ozone or AOP approach before committing to pilot- or full-scale equipment.
- Advanced gas delivery: 10 g/hr ozone generator with custom-engineered gas mixing apparatus for precise dosage control
- Real-time analytics: continuous recirculation systems for simultaneous monitoring of ORP, pH, temperature, dissolved ozone, and residual peroxide
- Precision monitoring: Teledyne high- and mid-concentration ozone monitors capture analytical data for both injection gas and off-gas concentrations for accurate mass-transfer calculations
- Safety first: all bench-scale testing is conducted under high-efficiency laboratory ventilation hoods for safe operation during aggressive oxidation tests
Industrial Pilot-Scale Testing
When you are ready to scale, PRM offers in-house pilot testing using client-provided samples and our industrial-grade, skid-mounted Ozone/AOP systems.
Pilot studies validate hydraulic performance, dosing strategy, and downstream polishing before final design, so the full-scale system you order is the one your data has already proven out.
- Industrial-grade, skid-mounted 60 g/hr and 70 g/hr Ozone/AOP systems
- Scalable volume: typically processes 275-gallon cage totes to simulate real-world hydraulic conditions
- Test the efficacy of Ozone, UV, and/or Hydrogen Peroxide in various combinations to determine the most cost-effective AOP for your contaminants
- Integrated pre- and post-treatment available: pH adjustment and chemical precipitation, aeration and mechanical filtration, GAC polishing, integrated chiller systems for temperature-sensitive reactions
The PRM Advantage: Custom Engineering & Fabrication
We are more than just a lab. We are a custom fabricator. Because our laboratory is integrated into our manufacturing facility, we can facilitate scaled process configurations that other firms cannot.
On-Demand Customization
With an extensive parts inventory and onsite fabrication shop, we can quickly build specialty batch tanks, custom manifolding, or unique reactor geometries to match your intended full-scale design.
Specialized Expertise
Our engineers and technicians specialize in Ozone/AOP technology. We don’t just run tests. We help design your process parameters, establish sampling protocols, and interpret complex data sets.
Full Chain of Custody
We handle laboratory confirmation analysis from start to finish: collecting, prepping, and shipping samples to our network of preferred NELAC-certified laboratories.
From Pilot to Full Scale
When the data supports moving forward, PRM builds the production equipment in the same facility where you piloted it.
